Hemigraphis - Purple Waffle Plant

Lighting Requirements
Your Purple Waffle will thrive in a spot with bright indirect light; it does not like direct sunlight. Its vivid purple color may fade if it is placed in spots with less light.

Watering Needs
The Purple Waffle likes its soil to be constantly and evenly moist. Make sure to water the plant well until it starts flowing out of the drain hole at the bottom. Throw away any excess water left behind in the saucer, as the plant does not like its roots to be sitting in water.

Humidity
Your Purple Waffle likes humidity and appreciates an extra boost with regular misting. Make sure to mist the plant daily, especially during winter as the air is drier. Not only does this increase humidity, but it also cleans the leaves and keeps pests away.

Temperature Preferences
They are fine between 55-80 degrees Fahrenheit, but do not like sudden temperature changes – consistency is key!

Fertilizer
Feed it once a month during spring and summer (the plant’s growing season) with a general houseplant fertilizer that is diluted to half the suggested strength. Do not feed it during the fall or winter, as the plant’s growth slows down during this time.

Pet-Friendly
Purple Waffle plants are non-toxic to pets and humans.

Extra Care
If you want a more bushy Purple Waffle Plant, you should pinch any new growth (at the tips) frequently – do so above a leaf, stem or new bud.
