Radermachera - China Doll

Lighting Requirements
Radermachera enjoy lots of bright, indirect light. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight however, as this can burn and damage the leaves.

Watering Needs
Your China Doll plant likes to have soil that is moist, but not soggy. Water again after the top layer of soil is dry to the touch. Be sure to have a well-draining pot to avoid standing water that can lead to root rot.

Humidity
The China Doll plant has subtropical origins, and so enjoys a high humidity environment. Your plant will appreciate occasional misting and proximity to a humidifier.

Temperature Preferences
Radermachera can be fussy about temperature, they prefer to be in the 65-75 degrees Fahrenheit range but will not tolerate cold drafts. Be sure to keep your plant away from windows and doors in the winter.

Fertilizer
The China Doll Plant needs to be fertilized fairly frequently - every two weeks during the growing period - but with a diluted or half strength fertilizer. In the fall and winter you can reduce feeding to once a month.

Pet-Friendly
Radermachera are non-toxic for animals and humans, so you can feel safe having a China Doll Plant in your home!

Extra Care
The China Doll plant hates changes in light, temperature, and moisture. Try to avoid relocating or drastically changing its environment, as it will likely loose some leaves.
