Your Staghorn Fern will thrive in a spot with low to bright indirect light
High - Water weekly, keeping soil moderately. Do not allow soil to dry out between watering’s. Water more frequently when leaves begin to wilt/droop.
High - Enjoys a higher humidity environment, would do well with occasional misting.
Staghorn ferns are surprisingly cold-hardy, but for optimal growth, the temperature should not be allowed to drop below 50 degrees or above 100 degrees. Staghorn ferns can be placed outdoors when temperatures stay within this range.
A liquid food is best for staghorn fern feeding. It can be diluted to prevent burning and is easy to apply. Young plants may be fed monthly during warm months and every other month during the cool season. Once plants are mature, they can thrive with just a one or two annual feedings during the growing season.
Staghorn Fern is toxic to Cats and Dogs. If you are considering purchasing this plant and have furry friends place in an area where they cannot reach.
