Plant Facts

Humidity

These plants prefer a slightly above-average level of humidity. You can achieve this by misting your Peace Lily occasionally, or by wiping the leaves down with a wet cloth.

Lighting Requirements

Peace tolerate can tolerate very low light conditions so long as there is some ambient light. However, the more light it receives the more your Peace Lily will bloom. Do not expose your Lily to direct sunlight, as this will burn the leaves.

Watering Needs

Peace Lilies are happiest when the soil is moist but not soggy. Make sure to have a well-draining pot, and water consistently.

Pet-Friendly

If you have pets, it is best to keep them away from the Peace Lily. If ingested, it can cause vomiting and oral irritation.

Temperature Preferences

An average household temperature in the range of 65 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit should be suitable for the Peace Lily. Avoid placing the Lily near heat vents or doors with a cold draft.

Fertilizer

Peace Lilys are not heavy feeders and will be happy with a diluted or half-strength fertilizer once a month during spring and summer.

Extra Care

Peace lily leaves tend to accumulate dust, so be sure to dust occasionally. It is also a good opportunity to prevent and check for pests like aphids or mites.
